The breakfasts at 8.50am. Comfy and enjoyable units with a double bed, iron, as example. Central location near to the event we were attending.

Very good value for money. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. friendly helpful staff.
The decor is slightly tired but I think the price reflects this. There is certainly road noise in the morning but as with most old inns it is on the high street so this is to be expected.

Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our choice. The location was exceptionally nice: a small market and a market were within walking distance. The hotel was a decent base for enjoying a very nice area.

Staff were very helpful. Full breakfast really good with perfectly poached egg!
Room was cold. Window didn't close properly. Continual droning noise outside all day and night.

Cozy stay with a few hiccups
We stayed for one night in a double room. The bed was super comfy, but the window wouldn't shut all the way, causing a bit of a whistling sound from the wind. We handled it by pulling the curtains shut. Breakfast had a little mix-up, but nothing major. A solid experience with good food options in the lounge area.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely old buildings (set in pleasant high street), comfortable pub with a relaxed local feel and excellent food. Made a very welcome change from the larger chains I often have to stay in. Will definitely stay again and looking forward to going back.
Only minor quibble was that the TV remote didn't work. I stayed in the annexe across the road and was woken a few times in the night by lorry noise, but it's on the high street, so you take your chances. Otherwise no substantive negative comments.
